Today marks a victorious day for all Liverpool fans after the Red defeated Sparta Prague in the second leg of the Europa League Kick-off, 1-0 at Anfield.
Both team lineups started the first minutes of the opening part with tight defense inflicting an early issuance of yellow flag to the Red’s midfielder Martin Kelly, 30 minutes of the first half. Two minutes later, another yellow card was issued to Sparta’s Manuel Pamić defender with both teams not scoring.
Because of a very tight defense on both lineups, the first half was marked by yellow cards instead of field goals. Both team players kept trying but no matter how they kick, the ball missed the net, hammering both teams in a null deadlock.
The second half started with both team players attempting to hit the first goal yet still nobody can get in. This calls on both team to do something different, else, they will end up wasting so much time and effort.
Four minutes before the match conclude, the crucial remaining minutes of the field game when Dirk Kuyt finally breaks the deadlock and scored for Liverpool, 1-0 against Sparta.
With Kuyt’s tie-breaking goal, the Red perceives triumph ahead of them, yet they did not compromise the remaining 4 minutes and tightened their defenses to block Sparta from scoring until the clock stopped ticking and the kick-off ended with Liverpool winning.
