Wesley Sneijder May Remain in Inter

Published on August 2, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

It seems that the rumors of Wesley Sneijder moving away from Inter Milan will not end as the 27-year-old said there’s still a chance he would join the team from Old Trafford.

Earlier rumors suggested that both Manchester United and Inter Milan were close to closing a deal of Sneijder’s transfer but Sir Alex Ferguson denied the rumors.

Inter’s fans could have been happier to keep Sneijder on the team playing beautifully each game.

Sneijder has been playing professional football for ten year at a very high level and the fact is, he is one of the most in-demand footballers today. In fact, many believe he is the perfect replacement for recently retired Paul Scholes.

The rumors could have been ended if he didn’t say: “What will happen? We’ll see. There is always a chance that something will happen, but we will see.”

He also added that since he started playing football, there have always been speculations every year when it comes to the transfer market.

“There is always speculation,” he said. “I’ve said before, I’ve played for almost 10 years at the highest level and every year there is speculation.”

Despite the 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Dublin Super Cup, he said that he is still happy being with his current club.

“I’m always happy. I’m a happy guy,” Sneijder said. “I’m just happy to train every day with my colleagues and to train every day and to play my game for the fans.”
