Previewing the major Premier League fixtures in February and how they could decide the title race or relegation battle

Published on January 30, 2012 by   ·   No Comments

Chelsea Vs Manchester United (February 5th)

Not the best of times for Manchester United as they are eliminated from the Champions League and from the Carling Cup which leaves the Premier League wide open for them without any distractions and this encounter might as well be one of the toughest for them going against Chelsea in Stamford Bridge. If you do not want to miss this big match game at the Stamford Bridge, you could get premiership tickets for this game and other premier league games in Ticketbis.

A downfall of points in the home turf of Chelsea could see Manchester City get the break they have wanted for them to put out of the reach their rivals. More importantly for Chelsea will be the state of Fernando Torres who still has not convinced the fans and his own coach. Not the same striker everyone saw back in Liverpool, with a payment of €50m he needs to step it up if he wants to remain with Chelsea.

Manchester City Vs Aston Villa (February 11th)

This might just be the season for Manchester City to win the Premier League, a feat they have not accomplished since the 1960s. Having acquired a number of players that are simply game changers from the Spanish winger David Silva to the Italian youngster Mario Balotelli, everything is going in favor of the London based club. Being eliminated from the Champions League they have a similar story to that of United and while some say being disqualified from the biggest European tournament is a bad thing, It does come along with good things as they have all the time in the world to focus in the Premier League.

Aston Villa is arguably their biggest challenge in February for the fact that Villa managed to edge a victory against City back in January 22nd when they met last year.

Arsenal Vs Tottenham (February 25th)

The absence of Cecs Fabregas and Samir Nasri is still being felt by Arsenal fans from all over the world, as they started this season without their star players and despite having disastrous start of season somehow they have managed to pick themselves up and battle for the top spots of the Premier League.

While Tottenham has been the biggest underdog of this season despite not having the same amount of cash flow that other top clubs in the Premier League do have, they have maintained a consistent season so far. They started getting fame ever since they went against Internazionale De Milan in the Champions League of the other year with the sublime performance of Gareth Bale and are still top of the line.

Tottenham has won their last 2 encounters against ‘The Gunners’ so it’s going to be a great chance for Wenger and his club to halt the march of Tottenham in the Premier League but Arsenal do have some tough challenges ahead of them as they face Ac.Milan around the same time.
