Manchester United Vs QPR 2-0- Premier League Highlights And Result- United Soaring At The Top Of Premier League

Manchester United are soaring high in the Premier League standings as they have a total of 79 points so far while the 2^nd place team Manchester City are 8 points behind them.

United hosted QPR at Old Trafford but they were only able to score through a very controversial move. QPR on the other hand are fighting for survival in the EPL with just 28 points they are at the very bottom of the English’s best league.

Getting into the actual match and United was having a hard time picking out their goal with all of their attempts being denied one way or the other but a miracle arrived for them at the 15^th minute when Ashley Young was barely even touch and yet he fell down making the referee believe he was tackled by a defender of QPR and even if he indeed was tackled down, replays were displaying him to be in a offside position.

The penalty was given to the hosts which was taken and netted in by Wayne Rooney.  Following the goal and the match remained exactly the same with United trying to break through the defence of QPR which was harder than expected for Ferguson’s men.

Queens Park Rangers were not fortunate enough to get goal scoring chances due to the fact that they had to hold off and withstand the endless efforts of United. The visitors managed to defend and not concede any further goals up until the 68^th minute when Paul Scholes made his presence and substitution be felt as he scored with a long range shot into the net of Paddy Kenny.

This triumph gives United a huge 8 points cushion over their Manchester City who might as well just hand them over this season’s trophy.
