The Premier League edges closer to its ending point and both Manchester clubs are at the top fighting for the title but if things stand as they are now Manchester City will be crowned champions as they share the same amount of points but the decisive factor sits on the goal difference which give City +10 goals in their favor which might just be the element which enables them the title.
Mancini’s squad traveled to Newcastle in order to settle their penultimate PL match of this season and picked up a narrow but well deserved 2-0 triumph with Yaya Toure netting in both goals for his club.
The offensive line of City consisted of Silva, Aguero, Tevez and Nasri with all of them combining together hoping to find the net of Newcastle. As City was going for the opening goal they also looked vulnerable in some instances on their defensive back-line.
Ben Arfa came close on scoring the opening goal of the match but he was denied by Joe Hart who was on the tip of his toes not conceding any goals today.
The 1rst came to an end with neither being able to find the back of the net and the 2nd half later initiated with Newcastle delivering more warning shots into the half of their opposition.
Gutierrez working along with Demba Ba down the left flank and later crossing it to the box of City where Ben Arfa was waiting but his shot just went over the bar.
City knew they needed a win in order to stay in the title race and Edin Dzeko was placed into the playing ground hopefully to add more depth into their attacking forces. Despite the substitution of Mancini the goal would later be scored by a defensive player Yaya Toure as he played a nice one-two pass with Aguero which gave him just enough space to curl it into the net of Tim Krul.
Yaya Toure would find the net 1 more time at the last few minutes of the game when he was picked out inside the box of Newcastle by Clichy and easily slipped it past Tim Krul with a close range effort.
