Despite not winning this season’s Serie A title, the president of Ac.Milan Silvio Berlusconi came out and spoke in a press conference about Massimiliano Allegri and his intentions on remaining with the club.
Allegri has a 2 year contract and from the looks of it nothing is going to change that. Ac.Milan suffered from a serious injury spell this season that did not allow some of their key players to play on a number of important matches including: Thiago Silva, Boateng, Alexander Pato and Nesta.
“It was Milan’s title to throw away,” the former Italian Prime Minister noted. “We were top of the table and in the lead.
“It’s our fault that we did not win [the league]. However, it is impossible to not speak highly of Juventus, who have played really well all season and showed great perseverance.”
It’s also been rumored that the club will be going through a major transformation involving their current squad in which they are going to let go all of their senior players and bring more youth to the table and Allegri will be at the center of it all adding in all the players while exiling those of upper age.
