The Portuguese coach of Real Madrid Jose Mourinho has made it official that he will remain with the Spanish club until 2016 which is a 4 year extension. Jose Mourinho is the only coach to ever win titles in Portugal, England, Span and Italy with his latest La Liga title being added to his tally.
He joined Madrid in 2010 and gave the club a Copa Del Rey in his 1rst season but now he guided the club to La Liga glory making history with a total of 100 points in 1 single season, later going on to express how he feels about the situation.
“I feel happy,” Mourinho enthused in an interview with Realmadrid TV. “If I was not, I would not have signed this agreement.
“I would like to think that it is not just me that is happy but also Real Madrid – the president [Florentino Perez], [executive] Jose Angel Sanchez and directors, who have trusted me and think I’m the ideal coach for this project we have until 2016.
“I have been talking with the players in recent months, analyzing the situation, and my strong sense is that the squad in general is also happy with this decision.
“We will make a couple of signings to improve the team that reached 100 points, which is how I think this side will be remembered in the history of Real Madrid, but it deserves our confidence and it is these players who will face the next challenge.”
With Pep Guardiola making his departure from Barcelona, Mourinho makes his mark in Real Madrid for the long run with no signs of stopping the coach considered to be the best in the world.
