The outcome of this match would decide the 2nd team to enter the Quarter-Finals stages of this Euro but it was a game that only had a handful of moments on actually scoring until Jiracek broke the deadlock at the 72nd minute and eliminating the chances of Poland to compete with the 8 top clubs that would later qualify as well.

Czech Republic entered this match coming with a numerical advantage as they had 3 points up until now while Poland just managed to get 2 points although however both sides were experiencing through some trouble on creating any real dangerous moments to get the lead on the scoreboard. Przemyslaw Tyton was the busier of the goalkeepers as he had to fend off against the shots of Milan Baros and company but the goalkeeper couldn’t do much when a free kick was launched inside his own penalty box and Petr Jiracek slammed the ball with his right foot over into the net of Poland.

Poland was unable to get back in track as Petr Cech’s side continued pressing forward and not giving away any space to the opposition, in fact it looked like they were about to double their lead against a side appearing to have lost all hope.
