Barcelona Transfer News: Jordi Alba Signing With Barcelona For £11m Transfer Fee

Barcelona has confirmed the signing of their former youth academy player Jordi Alba with a transfer fee believed to be around £11m for the left-back as they snapped up the Spanish full-back before Manchester United managed to make their move who also seemed to be interested in the 23 years old player.

Jordi Alba arguably was one of the better performing players of the Euro which attracted the attention of a number of European clubs and now he will be joining Barcelona in the 1rst signing completed of Barcelona under the guidance of Tito Vilanova.

“I’m coming home with my family and my people, that’s why I’m so content,” Alba told the club’s official website. “It’s been an incredible month for me and now I have to take advantage of the opportunity that Barcelona has given me.

Also stating that he is excited about playing with the best players of the world and the best fans of the globe, saying that its going to be a challenge but he is prepared to do what he can with his new club.

The contract will have Jordi Alba remaining in Barcelona for the upcoming 5 seasons with club renowned to be the best in history.
