Dalian Aerbin has made an official of their newest signing Seydou Keita from Barcelona who will be joining the Chinese club on a 2 year contract and earning around €14 million per season.
“We have talked a whole day [Saturday] and it is nearly confirmed. We are waiting on Li Ming’s final message,” Zhao told reporters on Sunday morning.
Keita will be arriving to China on July 15 and later proceed to the remaining fitness tests before actually joining the squad. It’s a great move for the midfielder taking into consideration that he was barely seeing any playing time with Barcelona and now making his move to a less competitive league, the same thing Anelka and Drogba managed to do some time ago.
This is quickly turning to be a standard for senior players who cannot keep up with other players in their club league and instead they are just signing with either a club of USA or China. David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, and Alessandro Nesta all of them already went through this and they have been performing above average in leagues that aren’t filled with breathtaking talented players.
