Liverpool went head to head against Tottenham in a club friendly match prior to the opening season of the Premier League which will start in August but neither side managed to make a dent into their opposition as it came to an end 0-0.

Gareth Bale of Tottenham was one of the 1rst to make create some moments of danger as he picked up a loose ball in the midfield and tried his luck with a shot but it was blocked and the resulting corner was cleared away by the opposing team. A worrying moment for Andre Villas-Boas arrived later on when Gareth Bale appeared to have been injured following a tackle but he was treated accordingly by the medical staff.

The Welshman continued being one of the most active and on the move players in the pitch as he crossed the ball to Kane who diverted it to Aaron Lennon and the winger failed to score despite having an empty net on front of him.

With the 2nd half about to begin, both coaches made a number of substitutions hoping to chance the outcome of the match in their favour with the addition of Raheem Sterling and Nathan Eccleston into Liverpool’s squad and causing some trouble into Tottenham’s backline guided by William Gallas and Younes Kaboul.

The match played on for the remaining minutes but neither side created any real golden moment to score and the few occasions that did arrive the players failed to capitalize on it as no goals were scored in the entire encounter.
