LA Galaxy Vs Real Madrid 1-5 – Club Friendlies – Madrid Crushing Galaxy In California

15 days remaining until the Spanish League kicks off and Real Madrid played another pre-season match this time against LA Galaxy and earned an impressive 5-1 victory at the Home Depot Center.

Despite not having their ace striker (C.Ronaldo) on the pitch, Real Madrid still dominated the match and their offensive line looked as strong as ever with Angel Di Maria playing superb throughout the 1rst half and this was evidenced in the first 2 goals as the Argentine winger was a key piece on both goals.

The first goal arrived on the 1rst minute of the encounter when Di Maria ran down the right wing and later slipped a deep pass in the penalty box and Higuain tapped it into the net with ease. 9 minutes later and the Spanish giants scored their 2^nd goal when Di Maria received the ball down the right flank but this time instead of passing it, he decided to slam it past the goalkeeper Josh Saunders with a powerful shot.

LA Galaxy managed to rescue 1 goal back following an absolute perfect free kick of David Beckham as the ball curled right into the path of Omar Gonzalez who headed it into the net but it was Lopes who made the last touch before scoring their only goal of the evening.

Real Madrid restored their 2 goal lead after just a few minutes after Galaxy had found their goal, Mourinho’s squad are known for their swift counterattacks and thanks to that arrived their 3^rd goal. Higuain was found with more than enough space and time for him to search for any available teammates and indeed he found Callejon being unmarked so he slipped the ball to the youngster who tapped it into the further side of the net.

The restart of the match saw C.Ronaldo entering the pitch to play the remaining minutes although however his presence hardly made any impact as Real Madrid dealt well with their youngsters and continued dominating. Esteban Granero chipped the ball past the defense of Galaxy and over to Morata and the 19 years old player tapped it into the corner of the post. They finished it off with a 5^th goal at the last few minutes following a nice and short pass of Ozil to the substitute Rodriguez.

Real Madrid continues their pre-season training with a game against Juventus while Galaxy will be facing off against Seattle Sounders.
