Arsenal Vs Sunderland 0-0 – Premier League Highlights And Result – Goalless Draw In Emirates Stadium

The Premier League has finally started after a long break and a previous season that saw Manchester City winning the title. It picked off with Arsenal hosting Sunderland in their home turf but it was a rather disappointing start of the campaign as they only managed to get a draw in an encounter that saw a number of chances being wasted away.

Arsenal suffered from the huge blow of Van Persie being transferred to Manchester United and this was more than evident as they lacked that offensive line needed in order to create and make that finishing touch.

The visiting side almost got the lead in the first few opening minutes when McClean was alone against the goalkeeper of Arsenal Szczesny who made a nice save and kept a clean sheet throughout the entire game.

‘The Gunners’ tried their luck with some swift counter attacks leaded by Cazorla on the attack. The Spanish player tested the abilities of Mignolet with a powerful shot from 19 yards away but Mignolet handled it with ease.

Throughout the remaining minutes of the game, Mignolet had to be at his best in order to deny the forward of Arsenal on getting ahead as it was indeed Arsenal who were dominating possession but just couldn’t find the back of the net.

The last few minutes of the game ticked down and neither side managed to find their 1rst goal of the season, each side earned 1 point.
